HBO Girls - Series Premiere Tonight
Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 10:54AM Sunday 04/15 10:30PM be sure to check out the series premiere of Girls on HBO. It's fantastic television - smart, a little dark, and very funny and has already had tons of buzz before even airing. I had the pleasure of working as the Digital Imaging Technician on this show and it has a very unique look that was maintained on set, in dailies, and now delivery of the finished product for public consumption. It would be fun to detail our workflow on this site but I need to find out if I'm authorized to do so. Most likely not! At any rate, please give it a watch.

I gave the show a look, and I'm sorry to say it just looks flat and lifeless. The blacks are milky, everything just looks dull and monochromatic.
Just me, I guess.
Well.. all I can say is that it looks exactly as was intended.
